Craig created Highflyer in pursuit of the finest wines made from the best vineyards for each varietal. He first flew to craft wines across California. Later, he flew to select vineyards where varietal, site, climate, and management aligned perfectly. His elevated perspective helped him honor each unique varietal and sometimes blend fruit from different yet complementary sources.
